Points System
How Scoring Works
Our fantasy basketball scoring system is designed to reward players for their all-around performance on the court. Points are awarded for various statistical categories, reflecting a player’s real-life contribution to their NBA team.
The points system is balanced to ensure that different types of players – from scoring guards to defensive centers – can all be valuable contributors to your fantasy team.
Standard Scoring Categories
Statistical Category | Points Awarded |
---|---|
Points Scored | +1 point |
Rebound | +1.2 points |
Assist | +1.5 points |
Steal | +2 points |
Block | +2 points |
3-Pointer Made | +0.5 points (in addition to points scored) |
Turnover | -1 point |
Double-Double | +3 points |
Triple-Double | +5 points |
Note: A double-double is achieved when a player records 10 or more in two statistical categories. A triple-double requires 10 or more in three categories.

Customizable options include:

- Adding or removing scoring categories
- Implementing position-specific bonuses
- Setting up milestone rewards (e.g., extra points for 30+ point games)
To customize your league’s scoring system, create a private league and access the settings panel from the league management dashboard.
Live Scoring Updates
Intuition and Fantasy provides real-time scoring updates during NBA games, allowing you to track your team’s performance as it happens. Points are calculated and updated based on official NBA statistics.
